from a girl with not too many girlfriendsMy husband, mother, and I went to see Girl’s Trip recently and we absolutely loved it! The whole theater laughed from beginning to end. Even the serious moments were funny thanks to Tiffany Haddish.

One of the best things about this movie was seeing Jada Pinkett Smith and Queen Latifah back together again. I missed "Set It Off" Jada so this movie was really fun for me. Jada was playing the ole maid character but she spiced it up eventually and reminded me how much I love her.
The movie is set in New Orleans during Essence Fest. Regina Hall's character is there on business with her agent and husband. During the trip we find out that their “perfect marriage” is not that perfect at all. The side bitch presents herself. However, they didn’t give the side bitch too much energy in the movie since she barely had speaking roles.
There was a dance off that ended in a bar fight, a huge penis attached to (Kofi Siriboe) Ralph Angel, and an ageless Larenz Tate saving the day. There is even shade to the new era of celebrity news. Let me just say talking about people is what I do and I am OK with that lol.

My first and last girls trip was with a bunch of bitches that didn’t like me and probably just needed another person to pay for the little ass room we were in. This movie made me wish I had girlfriends to take trips with. But don’t cry for me Argentina! My man and my mama were the perfect two to see it with.
